Helen Keller

Helen Keller was born in
Tuscumbia, Alabama, on June 27, 1880. Her parents were Captain Arthur H. Keller
and Katherine Adams Keller. Helen was born a normal child. But, when Helen was
eighteen months old an illness. She ran a high fever for many days. Helen was
left deaf and blind from the illness.
In March 1887 Anne Sullivan, a teacher at
the Perkins Institute, came to serve as Helen's teacher. In 1904, Helen
graduated cum laude (with honor) from Radcliff College, and became the
first deaf-blind person to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Helen Keller became an American activist
for the physically disabled. Though both blind and deaf, American lecturer and
author Helen Keller (1880–1968) traveled the world over, fighting for
improvement in the education and life of the physically handicapped.
In 1968, Helen Keller died in the age of
87, and in her whole life, she authored such books as Helen
Keller's Journal, Out of the Dark, Midstream: My Later Life, My Religion, The
Song of the Stone Wall, The World I Live In, and The Story of
My Life is the most famous book of her.

Anne Sullivan
|
His/Her biography |
Sullivan left Tewksbury to attend the Perkins School
for the Blind in 1880, and underwent surgery to help improve her limited vision.At
only 20 years of age, Sullivan showed great maturity and ingenuity in teaching
Keller and worked hard with her pupil, bringing both women much acclaim.
Sullivan even helped Keller write her autobiography.
Sullivan met John A. Macy, a Harvard University
instructor. Macy helped edit the manuscript, and he fell in love with Sullivan.
The two were wed in 1905. But, around 1913 or 1914, Sullivan's marriage
broke up.
Sullivan died on October 20, 1936, at her home in
Forest Hills, New York. Her ashes were placed at the National Cathedral in Washington,
D.C.

Adolf Hitler was born on April 20, 1889, in the small
Austrian town of Braunau on the Inn River along the Bavarian-German border. He
left formal education altogether in 1905 and began his long years of aimless.
In 1907, when his mother died, he moved to Vienna in an attempt to enroll in
the famed Academy of Fine Arts.
In
May 1913, Hitler returned to Munich, and after the outbreak of World War I
(1914–18) a year later, he volunteered for action in the German army in their
war against other European powers and America.
In April 1919 he became Führer (leader) of the renamed
National Socialist German Workers' party (NSDAP), the official name of the Nazi
party.
On
September 1, 1939, Hitler began World War II with his quest to control Europe.
The sudden invasion of Poland was immediately followed by the destroying of
Jews and the Polish elite, and the beginnings of German colonization.
Adolf Hitler committed suicide on April 30, 1945, leaving behind a
legacy of evil and terror unequaled by any leader in the modern world.

racist Nazi party. Arguably one of the most effective and powerful leaders of
the twentieth century, his leadership led to the deaths of nearly six million

Manuel Peter Neuer was born on March 27, 1986 in
Gelsenkirchen, Germany. Neuer is German football player who as one of the
game’s leading goalkeepers, helped Germany win the 2014 World Cup. For his
performance, he received the Golden Glove award as the tournament’s best
goalkeeper.
Neuer began playing football before he was five years old.
During the 2003-2004 season, he followed into the second team when he made his
debut in Regionalliga Nord. h signed Neurer. Initially, many
Bayern fans were unhappy because of the team’s intense rivalry with Schalke,
but Neuer won them over. In 2012-2016, Neurer’s strong play helped Bayern
dominate in Germany, with Bundesliga and DFB Pokal League and Cup doubles in
each season.

Muhammad Ali

|
Muhammad Ali was born Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr. On January 17, 1942, in Louisville, Kentucky. He was the only proffesional boxer to win the heavy-weight championship three times. Ali began boxing at the age of twelve. As a teenager Ali won both the national Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) and Golden Gloves championships. At the age of eighteen he competed in thw 1960 Olympic games held in Rome, Italy. In February 1964, when he was only twenty-two years old, he fought and defeated Sonny Liston for the heavweight championship of the world. Ali began to follow the Black Muslim faith, and announced that he had changed his name to Cassius X. Later Elijah Muhammad gave him the name Muhammad Ali. In April 1967 Ali was drafted into military service during the Vietnam War. He sentenced to five years in prison but was released on appeal, and his conviction was thrown out three years later by the U.S Supreme Court. As Ali’s boxing career ended, he became involved in social causes and politics. Ali died 0n June 3, 2016 because of septic stroke.

|
I just saw Oscar in TV several years ago, and Ali became one of an award recepient. Ali amazed me because he advised not to keep his name on floor, because there is “Muhammad” at his name.

Malcolm X was born Malcolm Little on May 19, 1925, in Omaha, Nebraska. At thirteen Malcolm was charged with delinquency and was sent to a juvenile detention home. He dropped out of school at the age of fifteen. He began wearing flashy clothing and jumped into a criminal life that included gambling, selling drugs, and burglary.
In 1946, at the age of twenty, Malcolm was sentenced to ten years in prison for burglary. While in prison he began to transform his life. He began reading books on history, philosophy, and religion.
After he was released from prison, Malcolm X soon became the most visible national spokesman for the Black Muslims. In 1957 Malcolm X met a young student nurse, Betty Jean Sanders, in New York. They were married in 1958, and she became Betty Shabazz. The couple eventually had six daughters. Malcolm X made several trips to Africa and Europe and one to Mecca. Based on these trips, He changed his name to El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz. On a Sunday afternoon, February 21, 1965, as he began to address one such meeting, Malcolm X was assassinated.

B.J. Habibie, in full Bacharuddin Jusuf Habibie was born on
June 25, 1936, Parepare, and died on September 11, 2019, Jakarta. B.J Habibie was an Indonesian aircraft engineer and
politician who was president of Indonesia 1998-1999 periode and a leader in the
country’s technological and economic development in the late 20th and early
21st centuries. After graduation
in 1960, he remained in West Germany as an aeronautics researcher and
production suppervisor. Habibie became a goverment adviser and chief of a new
aerospace company in 1976. In 1993 he unveiled the first Indonesian developed
plane, which he helped design, and in the following year he launched a plan
refurbish more than three dozen veesels bought from the former East German navy
at his initiative. In 1990, Habibie was appointed head of the Indonesian Muslim
Intellectuals Association. In March 1998 Soeharto appointed Habibie to the vice
presidency, and two months later Habibie changed Soeharto position because Soeharto announced his resignation. Habibie
immediately began to implement major reforms.Later that year Habibie ran for
president, but he withdrew his candidacy shortly before the October election,
which was won by Abdurrahman Wahid. After Wahid took office, Habibie
essentially stepped out of politics, although in 2000 he established the
Habibie Center, a political research institute.

Hanan Al
Hroub is a Palestinian teacher who in 2016 was the second
winner of the Global Teacher Prize, who specialises in supporting children traumatised
by violence. She grew up in the Dheisheh Palestinian refugee camp
near Bethlehem.
She has 5 children. Her husband, Omar, served 10 years in an Israeli prison
after having been convicted as an accomplice in a deadly 1980 bullet and
grenade attack in Hebron in which six Israelis died while walking home to Beit
Hadassah, a building into which Jewish settlers had recently moved, from Friday
night Sabbath prayers. She was studying English
at university and wanted to become a translator. She decided to work in
education after her 9 year old twins, and her 6 year old son were shot at by
Israeli soldiers in October at the outset of the Al-Aqsa Intifada. She
teaches Palestinian children in refugee camps, and her slogan is "No
to Violence".
